Art & Reflection Sessions

with Supporting Artist Pradeepa Kadiyala

Art creates small yet powerful moments of calm, curiosity, and connection. In the Bloomin' Roots™ program, participants explore process-focused art activities guided by mandala artist Pradeepa Kadiyala.

These accessible sessions encourage self-expression and require no prior experience. By slowing down to explore colors and patterns, participants build confidence and reconnect with meaningful moments in a supportive, mindful environment.

The 12-Week Creative Journey

Weeks 1–4

Opening the Door to Creativity

Participants begin with simple shapes, lines, and colors, gradually moving into basic repetitive patterns. These activities help build comfort with creative expression while encouraging relaxation and a calming creative flow.

Weeks 5–8

Discovering Patterns & Personal Stories

Participants explore mandala dot patterns and begin to incorporate personal reflection. Creative activities use colors, patterns, and symbols to represent memories, emotions, or meaningful moments.

Weeks 9–12

Creative Reflection and Celebration

Participants create a final artwork that reflects their journey through the program. This piece celebrates their creativity and the moments of joy, calm, and connection experienced along the way.

How Art Supports the Program

The creative sessions are designed to complement the program's focus on meaningful living and emotional wellbeing by encouraging:

  • mindful engagement
  • creative expression
  • gentle cognitive stimulation
  • confidence through creativity
  • moments of calm and joy

These art experiences provide participants with another pathway to connect with themselves, share their stories, and enjoy the simple act of creating.
